OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON COVID-19
Hello, lovely couples!
As you are well aware, we are currently in a situation we have never experienced before in our years of wedding photography, as a result of the spread of the Coronavirus otherwise known as COVID-19.
Here are the steps we will be taking in the coming wedding season, and we will continue to update you as the situation evolves. We hope that having this plan will help alleviate some of the stress you may be feeling.
Will you still be photographing our wedding?
Yes, absolutely. Our team of photographers (Ryan, Ricky & Benjamin and Ariel) still plan to photograph 100% of the weddings we have scheduled for this year, as long as your event carries forward and we are within any limitations set by the Government of Singapore.
We are washing our hands more vigorously than normal and are staying as healthy as possible to ensure not only our health but the health of your families and friends for when it comes time to photograph your day.
If by any chance any one of us were to contract COVID-19 or are suspected to have, we would do our best to find replacement photographers for your wedding. We are in regular and close contact with a large network of amazing photographers and as it currently stands, we have all agreed to support and cover each other if need be.
Cancellations, Rescheduling & Limit of liability
Let’s do what we can to keep COVID-19 at bay and wash our hands frequently, eat well, take our vitamins, use contactless payment, shop online, and limit our social contact with people unless it is absolutely necessary. It all helps to see us through this time.
Should the government recommendations of social distancing and quarantine lead you to cancel your wedding, whether as a result of the venue, planner, other vendors or your own personal choice, we understand and respect your decision. We are aware that the situation is evolving rapidly, and you are likely going to play this by ear. We know that the last thing you want to do is reschedule. We won’t pressure you to make this call sooner than you have to, so please know we are on your team.
As you know, we received a non-refundable deposit upon booking your wedding. If the wedding is cancelled or rescheduled, whether as a result of government recommendation, third party choice (venue, etc) or personal choice, we cannot refund this deposit. That said, you will not be expected to pay the remaining balance for your wedding day. The deposit can go toward rescheduling your date if this is the case, or it can be used toward another photo session such as an Engagement, Family Session or something else we discuss.
All affected couples who had signed up with deposit paid, we will be putting you on our top priority for your future dates. However, we will need you to provide us with your updated dates as soon as you have it before booking your venue. Rescheduled dates are allowed up to 18 months from original date of booking (subjected to review of ongoing pandemic situations) and in the event our rates have adjusted upwards, you do not need to top-up for the differences in rates (applies only to couples who had signed up with us before 31 December 2020).
With immediate effect, we will be imposing a postponement fee if reasons for postponement are not in accordance to the list below. The list is not exhaustive as well as not limited to. We will take every postponement request into consideration before imposing the fee.
Yourself (couples), your immediate family members (i.e. parents) or any household close contacts found to have caught the virus who are required by health authorities to quarantine or isolate
Closure of borders
Your booked venues are closed due to COVID-19 cases and/or Government is using for dedicated Stay Home Notice facilities
Secondly, we do ask that if you, your future spouse or close contacts of positive cases present symptoms of COVID-19, and if you choose to go against quarantine recommendations and still have your wedding, that you let us know. It is our feeling that in this case, you should immediately cancel your event to reduce the spread of this virus to your guests and vendors. As your photographers, we spend a lot of time with you and come in very close contact all day. A pandemic falls under the Limit of Liability in our service agreement and we reserve the right to cancel services without penalty in case of pandemic exposure in order to keep our communities safe.
Similarly, if any of our team members are present with symptoms, we will find a replacement shooter to cover your wedding. We take your health seriously.
Last but not least, in any event that you decided to go ahead with activities that contravene the existing regulations set out by the Government of Singapore and health authorities, let us know too. We take this move in a serious manner that we should not go ahead with the plans. Everyone’s health being and safety is at risk and we are responsible for every actions. Under the Limit of Liability clause in our service agreement, we reserve the rights to not cover any event without penalty in case of pandemic exposure.
Payment Info
Some people are losing their jobs or are on limited hours due to the virus, and as such payments may become a problem. Please reach out to us individually and we will do our best to either set up a payment plan or figure out a solution that will work best for both of us going forward.
